The boring NFL days continue. While football is not the top sport right now, there is some top news. Texas Tech Wide Receiver Michael Crabtree left the combine early and is somewhat injured. Crabtree is looking forward to a March 26th workout. Today's comment question: Would you want Michael Crabtree on your team?
In the MLB, Griffey's return to Seattle may not be just for him, but for a spiritual charm for the Mariners. The Mariners believe Griffey can be an influence for the team in their rebuilding process. The Yankees have recovered from the controversy surrounding Alex Rodriguez, and a question awaits us. Who wins the AL East?
In the NBA, the Trade Deadline is in the books now, and rebuilt teams like the Bulls and the Kings see if an impact was made. While neither were in action Saturday, the Mavericks and the Warriors have big nights. The Warriors squeeze out a big win with their slight postseason hopes. The Mavericks on the other hand want to get a higher seed for the playoffs. Today's comment question: Who wins the NBA Finals?
In the NHL, the Pens get the two points in a big win, their playoff hopes are not as big as they should be, as they need to step up their play, and stabilize their defense. The Blackhawks pick up two versus the Stars on Saturday, bringing the season sweep over Dallas, the first time the Stars have been swept in a season series by anyone since 96-97.
The Terrapins stop the red-hot Heels in an OT battle, the upset certainly upset Tar Heels fans, who need to rebound from this loss, on a bid to the Final Four. UCLA takes in another loss, the slumping Bruins are in one of the biggest Top 25 team slumps of the year, and need to focus more or else, they will not be as prominent.
