NFL Draft? 65 days. As I've been really only talking about what the Detroit Lions will do, how about what the team on the opposite end is doing for the Draft. The Steelers are heavily considering OT Eben Britten for the draft. Pittsburgh believes drafting a defensive player in the first round would be nonsense since, their defense was ranked #1 in the league.

Players all around the MLB are criticizing A-Rod for his conferences on steroid use. Rodriguez has another topic in discussion. Should he make the Hall? Rodriguez has severely damaged his reputation by not only taking performance enchancing drugs, but by having a different perspective every time.

The NBA goes on, and the Thunder organization was excited about getting Tyson Chandler. One problem, he failed a physical. Trade rescinded, and everything is back to normal. The two highest scoring teams in the league meet: Lakers vs. Warriors. Your final:129-121....Lakers. Another stellar Kobe Bryant performance in the 4th Quarter to come back and beat Golden State.

The Rangers finally win against their Long Island rivals, the Islanders. The Rangers are trying to keep a comfortable spot for the playoffs. The Florida Panthers on the other hand, are hot, and are most certainly in the picture. South Florida wants to expierience their fist successful Cup run. Alex Ovechkin makes what could be the goal of the year, after spinning around, skating past 2 forwards, and made a top-shelf wrister to place the puck in the back of the net.

College Hoops upsets, maybe not, but one of the lowest scoring games in recent history, as Penn State beats Illinois 38-33! This anticipated Big 10 matchup was simply boring, yet record-setting in recent years. The Fighting Illini are now 21-6.

It's a new day for the NBA.

The NBA is back, and how about after the All-Star Break to have someone set a record already? Yes, and it's no one else but Magic leader Dwight Howard. Howard put up one of the best stats lines of this year. 45 pts, 19 Rbs, 8 Blks. Howard led his team to win through devastating offense, and unstoppable defense. Kevin Durant put up the highest scoring performance of the night, in a losing effort. Durant scored 47 when the Thunder lost to the Hornets in a 100-98 battle.

Alex Rodriguez stated in a press conference Tuesday that his cousin gave him something known as boli. I have confirmed that this "boli" happens to be Premobolan, one of the substances he tested positive for. Rodriguez stated that he did not know it was a steroid and that he didn't even know if he was using it the right way. Yankees GM Brian Cashman stated, "He shouldn't have gone up there for this press conference. He made no sense, and is stating new things every time."

In the Football world, Matthew Stafford is suggested as the #1 pick for the Lions in most mock drafts. The Lions haven't eliminated the possibility of drafting Mark Sanchez, the star QB for USC. The Saints have cut Deuce McAllister stating that "it's really a chance for him to see other teams, winning teams, and make an impact."

In hockey, Claude Lemieux has finally got something to put on his stat line, and it isn't a goal or an assist, it's 15 PIM in Tuesday night's game. Lemieux got in a fight, and later recieved a misconduct. Claude is showing his old personality that he had with the Avalanche and the Devils. Steven Stamkos' hat trick was spoiled as the Lightning lost to the Blackhawks 5-3.

Mike Leach may be fired for failure to sign a contract? Yes, Texas Tech head coach Mike Leach may be fired for not signing an extension. The Red Raiders were one of the top teams in all of last year's College Football.

Purdue upsets Michigan State at home, making it their first home win vs. a top 5 team at home since 1992. New Jersey Tech loses again, making them 1-25, their only win against the team they lost to Tuesday night, Bryant University.

The Jaguars decided it was time. Longtime veteran running back Fred Taylor has been released from Jacksonville. Taylor is aiming a new, winning team. The Lions have a couple QB options and are left thinking, is Stafford our final choice?

In our baseball world, steroid talk is alive after Alex Rodriguez tested positive in 2003. After Curt Schilling, another big name opens his mouth. David Ortiz states that should a player test positive, they should be banned for one year. Ortiz claims that testing players is a better way to find out than sending them to court.

Suns guard Jason Richardson has been arrested for driving 55 mph over the limit. He was also charged for an unrestrained 3-year old child in the back seat, the child being Richardson's son. The Suns organization claims the possibility of Stoudemire and O'Neal being traded is in decline. Suns coach Alvin Dentry believes Stoudemire and O'Neal will be needed in the playoff push.

Penguins head coach Dan Bylsma loses in the shootout in his first game as the coach of the Pens to the New York Islanders. The "Rangers Recession" continues as they lose to the St. Louis Blues. The Rangers are hoping to get middle-placed seed in the playoffs, but for now, they have a problem.

College Basketball upsets seem like they happen everyday, you just can't predict what top team is going to be the victim of one though. This time, the #1 ranked UConn Huskies get upset by #4 ranked Pittsburgh Panthers. This is the first time in school history that the Panthers defeat a top-ranked team.
